Tragedy of human cognition?

Howdy!

The work load has kept up its intensity and I've still got a million things left to do before university takes a break for Easter later this month. Added to that, I've had to face the dire consequences of a malfunctioning left eye for the past week or so. The eye has forced me to shove in time for regular trips to the doctor and have had to accommodate a crazy schedule for administering medication. :-( Grr...

Anyway, I'm tuning in to share this particular article I stumbled on the New York Times today. Titled "Darwin's God", the article is a light read on the scientific research that is exploring the birth of the concept of God and how the persisting belief in God and religions may fit within the evolutionary processes that lead to the modern human cognitive machinery. The questions that both the adaptationists and the byproduct theorists are asking are, in my opinion, pretty valid and are questions to which we undoubtedly should seek answers to!

Enjoy.

Darwin's theory is a little bit screwed up. His theory relates everything to nothing and nothing to everything and everything to coincidence...weird. Anybody who follows his theory will be lost in space asking him self. "Did the Sea horse became a horse or a horse became a Sea horse" Anyway darwinsm is another name for mind twisters, that dude rocks.

I am not too sure what you mean by "relates everything to nothing..." and all tat but I guess it'd wouldn't be a shot in the dark to assume that you are refering to the so-called tautology of "survival of the fittest" expression in evolution by natural selection. If that is what you are referring to, then please do read up on the details of this misappropriation and why, unlike what Popper decided and unlike the battle cry of Creationists, is not a tautology and why it follows a logical, rational sequence that is logically sound and scientifically falsifiable.

It is easy, like anything else, to get mind-twisted on evolution when it is understood/interpreted incorrectly. ;-)

According to Darwinism, the first cell supposedly formed in the Earth’s primeval environment, in a pool of muddy water. So doesn't that make everything from a nothigness. And out of that single cell, a literally endless series of coincidences later gave rise to animals, plants, human beings and civilizations. So doesnt that make everything a coincidence. Its like
Plentiful Muddy Water + A Long Time + Many Coincidences = Civilization
well the article is great. And thanxs for the advice before i got twisted :-). Have read a lot of evolutiion theories supporting darwins theory and anti-evolution theories too. But am a believer in a superior creator who knew darwin would create this theory before darwin's Great..( x the power infinite)Grandfather was created.
